As a dedicated and results driven sprint coach, I bring firsthand competitive experience and a proven track record of athlete development at both the high school and collegiate levels.
My track and field journey began at Gardner Edgerton High School, where I broke the school record in the 200 meters and established myself as one of the program’s top sprinters. I continued my athletic career at the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC), where I competed at the collegiate level and was part of a conference championship team, gaining valuable experience in high-performance training and team success.
Transitioning into coaching, I have served as a sprint coach at Blue Valley Southwest High School, where I helped lead both the boys and girls teams to their first/second league and regional championships in school history. I later continued my coaching career at Olathe East High School, developing sprinters across multiple grade levels and elevating overall program performance.
In addition to school programs, I have provided private sprint training to athletes who have gone on to compete at the collegiate level. My coaching philosophy emphasizes proper mechanics, explosive power development, race strategy, and mental preparation, building not just faster athletes, but confident and disciplined competitors.
With experience as both an elite athlete and championship level coach, I am committed to helping sprinters maximize their potential and achieve success on and off the track.

My track and field journey began at 12 years old, and by 13, I was ranked 9th nationally at the AAU National Championships in Knoxville, Tennessee, running 22.7 in the 200 meters. But my defining moment came during my senior year at Ruskin High School when I shattered the school’s 100-meter record with a 10.27 at Wyandotte County Relays (KS)—breaking a mark held since 1987 by Texas A&M alumni Michael Bolden. That performance earned local news coverage and TV interviews, but more importantly, it fueled my hunger to compete at the highest level.
As a senior, I dominated regionals as champion in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and 4x200m relay. At the 2012 state championships, I entered as the top seed in the 400m and finished 2nd in a photo finish with a 48.54. I also ran 21.5 in the 200m and helped our 4x200m team break the school record and place at state. At Prairie View A&M University, I continued to elevate my game as a true freshman, anchoring our 4x100m relay to place at Texas Relays Champions and SWAC Indoor Championship. I posted new personal bests across the board: a 9.87 split in the 4x100m, 20.5 in the 200m, and 47.5 in the 400m.
After my competitive career, I transitioned to coaching, serving as head coach for the PSA Eagles in Dallas, Texas, where I worked with athletes ages 5-18. Now specializing as a sprinter coach, I draw from my training under Olympians at ages 15-16, where I developed my reputation for explosive block starts and lightning-fast reaction times. I specialize in every phase of sprinting—block work, drive phase, maintenance, and finish—across the 100m, 200m, and 400m, plus curating championship-caliber relay teams. I also emphasize holistic health and wellness, teaching natural methods to increase speed, muscle elasticity, and injury prevention.
My greatest passion is giving back and developing character through the life lessons track and field teaches. I’ve helped countless young athletes with no prior experience—including my own two daughters—discover their running style and achieve personal breakthroughs. I believe hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard, and I instill in every athlete I coach that “CAN’T” stands for Cowards, Average, Nobodies, and Timid. Where your mind goes, your body will follow—and I’m here to help every athlete I work with turn their dreams into reality.
